Group Analytics Lakehouse — Real Estate & Property Dev. (UAE)

A UAE based real estate group with multiple development, leasing and property management companies wanted a single view of performance across the portfolio. Each subsidiary had its own ERP, CRM and spreadsheets, which meant slow reporting and conflicting numbers.

How We Built A Single Source Of Truth For A Real Estate Group

The client’s finance and strategy teams were spending weeks every month stitching together reports from different subsidiaries.

Each company used its own mix of ERP, property management tools and spreadsheets. Names for the same metric were different, and “final” numbers kept changing during review meetings.

There was no central place where the group CFO could see cash flow, sales velocity, occupancy and project status across the portfolio. Decisions about new investments or refinancing were often made from partial data.

Algo worked with finance, IT and business owners from each subsidiary to define shared KPIs and build a group level lakehouse. Today, the group runs on a single model of properties, leases, customers and projects, with dashboards that update automatically instead of monthly spreadsheet marathons.

The Challenge

Consolidate group level performance without forcing every subsidiary into the same operational system.

Each subsidiary used its own ERP, property management system and custom reports. Data structures and naming conventions were different.

“Occupancy”, “pre bookings” and “collections” all meant slightly different things by business unit.

The internal IT team could not build and maintain a full data platform while also supporting day to day operations.

L

Assess

We started with short discovery sessions with finance, IT and business leads from each subsidiary. Together we mapped core data sources, current reports and the questions leadership wanted answered. From this we created a shared data model and a prioritized list of group KPIs, with clear definitions everyone could sign off on.
L

Design & Build

Next we designed a lakehouse architecture on AWS. Raw data from ERPs, CRMs and property systems lands in S3, is catalogued with Glue, and secured through Lake Formation. We then built curated layers and subject specific marts for finance, sales and operations, queryable via Athena or Redshift and exposed to dashboards in QuickSight.
L

Prove & Handover

We validated data quality with side by side comparisons against existing reports and month end packs. Once stakeholders were confident, we documented pipelines, access roles and KPI definitions, and trained the client’s analytics and IT teams to extend the platform on their own.
